What happened on the journey between Nazareth and Bethlehem? The Bible offers very little detail about the 90 or so miles that Mary and Joseph had to travel across the flatlands of the Jordan River and over Jerusalem’s surrounding hills. What we do know is that Mary not only carried the knowledge of something very special, she carried a child so wonderful that even his unborn cousin lept with joy at the promise of his birth. And joy has been his promise ever since. This series steps away from the most accepted and traditional order of Advent Sundays. (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love) Instead, we begin with Love, allowing it to be the foundation for all that follows.
December 1 - "It must begin with Love."
December 8 - "Peace is worth fighting for."
December 15 - "Holding our or Hope."
December 22 - "There'll be Joy!"
December 24 - "It's time!"

God’s Pantry Food Bank, Kroger, and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government have teamed up to create Mobile Market, a mobile, single-aisle grocery store that visits areas of the city with limited access to nutritious foods. The Mobile Market carries a variety of products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, refrigerated and frozen meats, proteins, dairy, produce, and some essential household items, and offers them at slightly reduced prices. Debit cards, credit cards, and EBT are accepted. Cash is not accepted.
Shop the Mobile Market Saturdays from noon til 1:30.
