PURVEYORS OF AWE | new series

What does it mean to be in awe? What does it mean to be a purveyor of Awe? Awe is a powerful emotional response that can significantly impact our well-being and perception of the world. It arises from experiences that transcend our usual understanding, like viewing a vast landscape, listening to powerful music, encountering an extraordinary act of kindness, or feeling especially close to God. To be a “Purveyor of Awe” is to be intentional about curating a life of spiritual depth. Join us this spring and summer of a season of awe!

SUMMER DAY CAMP

JUNE 17, 19, 24 & 26

It's time to start planning for our Summer Day Camp. On June 17, 19, 24, and 26, the neighborhood kids will spend an afternoon at BUCC for fun, games, snacks, and learning opportunities. A sign-up sheet for donations and volunteers is posted in the fellowship hall. See Lorie Yaste for more information.

LEXINGTON PRIDE FESTIVAL

SATURDAY, JUNE 28

BUCC was one of the first churches in Lexington to have a presence at the city's Pride Festival, and we've been a part of the festival ever since. We want to make sure everyone there knows how wonderfully loved, valued, and celebrated they are. Our Pride theme this year is based on 1 John 4:8, "LOVE HAS EVERYTHING! TO DO WITH IT." The festival will be back outside, and planning is underway now. Sign-ups for volunteers are available at the church.
