We may be a little different than other churches you might visit, and we hope you feel it when you join us in person, watch a message online, or listen to one of our sermons.
We are an inclusive and affirming spiritual community seeking to live out a more just and generous Christianity by putting words into action with community outreach and social advocacy.
At Bluegrass, we think that faith is less about doctrines and dogmas demanding total agreement, and more about a life to be lived, enjoyed, and shared with others.
Our theology is progressive which means we welcome the entire human family regardless of race, age, creed, physical abilities, marital or economic status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
Bluegrass is an open and affirming congregation.
We believe that life is a gift and love is the place where it is best lived.
If you are looking for a church where ALL are welcomed and included;
if you are curious and need to come see,
if you are indifferent and need to come discover,
if you are tired and need to come rest,
if you are rejected and need to come be received,
if you are grateful and need to come share,
if you are journeying and need to come grow,
if you are wounded and need to come heal,
if you are hungry and need to come eat,
if you are joyful and need come to shine,
welcome to Bluegrass.

As COVID-19 infection rates continue to drop in Lexington and Fayette County, we are excited to begin in-person worship again! We look forward to having a full house in the coming weeks, but because we still need to practice social distancing, we will need to limit the number of attendees for now. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on how to reserve your spot. Whether you join us in-person or online, we're excited about worshipping with you!
