Theology Thursdays presents a study of Josh Scott's latest book, Context.
Josh looks at verses we know by heart but may not know the people, places, and times that give them meaning. He delves into these well-known scriptures, examines them in their original context, and explores their true meanings, unveiling fresh and enlightening interpretations that are often missed when they are taken out of context.
Join us every 2nd & 4th Thursday, April - June at 6:30 p.m.
God’s Pantry Food Bank, Kroger, and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government have teamed up to create Mobile Market, a mobile, single-aisle grocery store that visits areas of the city with limited access to nutritious foods. The Mobile Market carries a variety of products, including fresh fruits and vegetables, refrigerated and frozen meats, proteins, dairy, produce, and some essential household items, and offers them at slightly reduced prices. Debit cards, credit cards, and EBT are accepted. Cash is not accepted.
Shop the Mobile Market Saturdays from noon til 1:30.

A practice exploring Aramaic mantra, energy work, meditation, and movement in the Christian tradition at the church, or online via Zoom.
Since shortly after our beginning, BUCC has been providing food for food-insecure Fayette County students to take home from school. Many students have come to rely on it. Even though our volunteers pick up the food, pack the bags, and deliver them to the schools, there's a cost to purchase the food and supplies. So we're asking for your help. A donation of $52 will allow us to provide a backpack full of food to one student for an entire school year.
As we are witness to a humanitarian horror in people’s lives, BE A LION steps out of the Jungle for Regis and Mimi to give the gift of the value of the arts to any child torn from their lives. A message of hope and inspiration, a coping tool, food for the mind, who knows, maybe a smile, will be found. Be A Lion believes in the power of the arts in a life of wellness, development, and healing. Producer Tuska, writer and songwriter Dave Wilson and Jim Henson’s cartoonist, Guy Gilchrist bring you this message of hope and inspiration. BUCC is proud and honored to be a part of this beautiful work of healing.
